Steve, you should note that their latest 3 game losing streak was the FIRST time this season they lost all in regulation. An overtime loss still gets us a point (we lead the league in that dept.)

Our remaining schedule is somewhat favorable. We need to put up or shut up.

Go Ducks!

Even with the win... I didn't see much to like last night. Canucks still had way to many good looks and until the 2nd and 3rd lines decide to chip in with some goals, it's still dicey on wins. And the way AZ is playing lately that is no gimme either. The season is over if they don't sweep the next 2. Rise up boys.

The best thing that can happen for us is if we tighten up the defence and get good goaltending. I pretty sure that's our best chance. That and with our puck moving dman moving the puck up the ice it should give us just enough scoring chances to win games. Especially if our forwards get to the net.
But if the defense falters then the pressure to score goals will lead to bad shots and more opportunities for the opposition to counter. But this is a veteran team. So discipline shouldn't be to much of a problem. At least I hope so. Because taking dumb penalties isn't something we can afford this year.
I mean this all depends on us making the playoffs in the first place so my hope isn't high. But if your looking for a bright spot it's maybe the fact that playing more intense games going into the playoffs may help us get going .

Addendum: oh yeah. I forgot something. Please don't where out gibby Randy. We've already lost two good chances to go to the Stanley cup because of goalie overuse. That and if a freak accident happens we'd like to have Miller a little warmed up.
